ACHIEVING OPTIMAL BENEFITS FROM MINERAL RESOURCES IN SIERRA LEONE: A Review of Mining Agreements and Other Mineral Rights

The Government of Sierra Leone is undertaking a review of all mining agreements and other mineral rights. The purpose of this review is to ensure optimal benefits to the country and its people over time from the sustainable exploitation of mineral resources. The review will examine all mineral rights, including contracts, agreements and licenses, for current or planned mining activities in order to determine whether optimum gains (financial and social) have been secured for the country.

This Website will update you regularly about the status of this review process, and all decisions made.
