ACHIEVING OPTIMAL BENEFITS FROM MINERAL RESOURCES IN SIERRA
LEONE: A Review of Mining Agreements and Other Mineral Rights
The Government of Sierra Leone is undertaking a review of all
mining agreements and other mineral rights. The purpose of this
review is to ensure optimal benefits to the country and its
people over time from the sustainable exploitation of mineral
resources. The review will examine all mineral rights, including
contracts, agreements and licenses, for current or planned
mining activities in order to determine whether optimum gains
(financial and social) have been secured for the country.
This Website will update you regularly about the status of this
review process, and all decisions made.
